The formation of Swedish progressive metal band “Soen” was announced in 2010 and, since releasing their debut album “Cognitive” in 2012, they have gradually increased in popularity, particularly in Europe. In March of 2021 their song “Illusion,” a superb ballad from their fifth studio album “Imperial,” spent three weeks at number one in the RadiJohan Top 10.
Soen’s new album, “Memorial,” was released earlier this month and once again includes a noteworthy ballad. “Hollowed” is a composition for which Soen enlisted the help of Italian singer “Elisa.” Having a guest contribution is new for Soen and appears to have worked out great. The song explores a relationship from which the harmony has disappeared.
“Hollowed” by Soen is new this week on RadiJohan.
