On 22 February 1983 Styx released their eleventh studio album, Kilroy Was Here, a concept album about a dystopian future where rock and roll is banned and technology is out of control. The album produced two hit singles, the synth-pop Mr. Roboto which later became one of their signature songs, and the power ballad Don’t Let It End. Both of them were major hits in 1983 reaching the top 10 of the US Billboard Hot 100.
