“Black Veil Brides” is a Roman Catholic term used for when a woman marries into the church and gives up all the pleasures of life to devote her life to God. She is then deemed a “Black Veil Bride.”
“Black Veil Brides” are also an American rock band formed in 2006 in Cincinnati, Ohio. They were inspired by, among others, bands like Kiss and Mötley Crüe, which explains their use of black makeup, body paint and tight black studded clothing. The band have released six studio albums, the most recent being 2021’s “The Phantom Tomorrow.”
Their latest release is an EP called “The Mourning.” The EPs lead single, “Saviour II,” follows “Saviour” which appeared on the 2011 album “Set The World On Fire” and was written as a letter to their fans saying how much they appreciate them and that they, and their music, will be there for them during their darkest time. “Saviour II“ continues this message – that, as years have now gone by, they remain true to that and want to reaffirm that they are still here for people.
“Saviour II“ by Black Veil Brides is new this week on RadiJohan.
