After the foot-stomping title track and the superb ballad Everybody Loves You When You’re Dead, the Nashville-based rock band highlight the escapades of many a poor boy trying to gain entry into the hearts of those untameable “East Side Girls.”

The debut album, Ballad Of A Misspent Youth, by Nashville-based rockers “Tuk Smith & The Restless Hearts” was released this month. Talking about their new single, Everybody Loves You When You’re Dead, Tuk Smith said:
“I was channeling my favourite 70’s glam gods on this track, for sure. I woke up one morning with the phrase ‘…everybody loves you when you’re dead’ running through my head, so I sat down at the piano and the song kind of wrote itself. I had been struggling with the death of a friend and I was flooded with existential thoughts. It’s not necessarily a song about death per se, it’s a bit more layered with some social commentary thrown in there. Personally, I look at it as more a freedom song.”

Tuk Smith and The Restless Hearts are an American rock band from Nashville. They released their first single, What Kinda Love, in January 2020 and were due to be an opening act for The Stadium Tour with Def Leppard and Mötley Crüe. But then came…..you know…..the Thing. Fast-forward to 2022 and the band are about to release a new album of high energy rock and roll. The first single, and title track, is called Ballad of A Misspent Youth.
