The Rolling Stones have released “Angry,” the first single from long-awaited new studio album “Hackney Diamonds. “Angry” has that very distinctive Stones sound that’s almost impossible to mistake for anything else. With more than sixty years on the clock they still manage to sound contemporary, while keeping their unique sound intact. The song comes with a great video that takes a trip through Stones history.
The band revealed more details about the album, out October 20, in an interview with Jimmy Fallon. “Hackney Diamonds,” which is an old East London slang for “broken glass,” will be the first Rolling Stones album with new music since 2005’s “A Bigger Bang.” The album will be their first with new drummer Steve Jordan who, according to the band, was identified long ago by original Stones drummer Charlie Watts as his replacement, should anything ever happen to him.
“Angry” by the Rolling Stones is new this week on RadiJohan.
